Welcome to HighTalk.
This is a blog about the digital transformation of media and how brands should be using digital content and distribution for marketing and communications. We talk about a lot here: privacy, blogging, Facebook, Twitter, the impact of social media on culture and business, insights on digital trends and how to find and retain audiences.
My name is George F. Snell III. For many years, I was a journalist and later a public relations executive. Now I run the digital and social media operations for the Boston office of a global communications company.
My team is responsible for creating digital content, distributing that content to the right audiences and managing the digital and social channels for some of the largest brands in the world.
My clients have included Ocean Spray, L.L. Bean, Life is Good, Verizon Wireless, ZipCar, General Motors, Harvard Business School, M.I.T., Iron Mountain, and Boston Children’s Hospital.
HighTalk is my personal blog and has no affiliation with my place of employment. The writings, musings and opinions on HighTalk are my own and don’t necessarily represent the positions, strategies or opinions of my employer or my clients. All mistakes (and typos) belong to me.
I welcome discourse on HighTalk. Feel free to agree, but I especially enjoy it when you disagree and offer well-articulated arguments about why. That back and forth is what makes blogs and blogging so valuable – and fun.
